It’s a source of unity when the clan system is used to know and learn from each other—according to the Quran 49:13. But people fight over clan issues! However, Somalis have been practicing an ancient legal system called Xeer. The Xeer is used to solve most of the conflicts among Somalis. According to the Xeer, the most dishonorable act a person can commit is refuse to host or protect a guest!
